We care,
because your
foundry matters

Who we are

Foundry Matters is a company located in Oldenzaal, the Netherlands. Our team has more than 75 years of practical experience in the manufacturing industry. Our expertise includes the sand moulding process and the lost wax process mainly focused on non-ferrous and stainless steel alloys.

After having for many years our own foundry, we have experience and skills in the complete range of the business. From production, engineering, sales and purchase, to quality improvement, quality assurance and HRM.

After developing and expanding our own foundry, now we feel that it is time to share our knowledge and passion of this wonderful artisanal process were craftmanship is still crucial.

What we do

From experience we know, that in a foundry, not one single day is like the other. That makes this manufacturing process not only very exciting, but sometimes also very challenging. Not a surprise, if you take into account the numerous of available books and scientific articles you can find about casting defects. In this challenging business, sometimes you do simple not find the time to focus on all important issues at the same time. In that stage we are more than willing to support you. Whether there is a need in process & quality improvement, costs reduction, commercial support or increase of your output, we are happy if we can be of help.…. And we like to do that a bit different compared to common consulting agencies; we believe that it is more effective and more efficient to give our support on site and ‘hands-on’.

How we work

We are fully aware that a collaboration can be only successful when it is based on mutual respect and trust. That is why we like standing next to you as if it would be our own company, working with a non-nonsense mentality, thinking in the terms of partnership. We can be involved in a specific project, or when required, in the day-to-day business of your company.

Examples of previous projects:

  • Reducing the rejection level together with process engineering
  • Training on the job of (new) production employees
  • Implementation of additional alloys
  • SWOT analysis of the company
  • Introduction of new leads
  • Interim production manager
